It focuses on improving essential English skills, including listening, reading, writing, and speaking, while familiarizing students with the EPrT® test format. Students will also develop their grammar and vocabulary, ranging from basic to academic levels, to enhance their overall proficiency.
● This course is mandatory for students with an EPrT® score below 500.

This class enhances students’ oral communication skills, focusing on fluency, coherence, vocabulary, grammatical accuracy, and pronunciation. It helps students express ideas clearly, respond effectively to interview questions, and engage confidently in discussions. Through interactive activities, students will learn to articulate complex ideas with clarity and precision. By the end of the course, students will be able to communicate effectively across various topics, use a wide range of vocabulary appropriately, apply correct grammatical structures, and improve pronunciation and confidence in spontaneous speaking situations.

Details
This course is designed to help students develop the skills needed to produce clear, structured, and well-organized academic writing, with a focus on: Writing Advantages–Disadvantages essays and Describing multi-graph/chart essay. Students will strengthen their ability to plan and organize ideas logically, write cohesive paragraphs, and use accurate academic vocabulary and grammar. The course emphasizes developing a clear position, presenting balanced arguments, and supporting ideas with relevant explanations and examples. It also trains students to identify key features in visuals, compare trends, and summarize information effectively using appropriate comparative language and data-focused expressions. Through guided practice, timed writing drills, and targeted feedback, students will build confidence and accuracy in producing well-developed essays and concise analytical responses. By the end of the course, students will be able to write coherent texts with strong organization, clear topic sentences, effective linking, and improved grammatical control.

Details
This course focuses on two main objectives: improving overall language skills (Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing) and equipping students with test-taking strategies for the TOEFL ITP®. The program consists of 120 study hours, including 40 hours of classroom sessions (20 meetings), 40 hours of structured assignments, and 40 hours of independent tasks. Students will take a progress test after 10 sessions and a final test after 20 sessions. Both structured and independent tasks will be guided and reviewed with feedback from assigned instructors to ensure continuous improvement.
● This course is offered to students with an EPrT® score 475-499 (TOEFL ITP Prep Level 1) and EPrT® score ≥ 500 (TOEFL ITP Prep Level 2).

Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) or Indonesian as a Foreign Language (Level 2) is a program designed for foreign students or non-Indonesian speakers. It focuses on daily communication, simple presentations, and basic text comprehension to help students develop their Indonesian language skills for everyday interactions.

ESyP (English Synergy Program) is a mentoring program designed to improve the English skills of international class freshmen (1st year). This program helps students to be better prepared to actively participate in learning activities and take part in various international programs. Conducted during the first and second semesters (1 academic year), ESyP classes are held twice a week with each session lasting 100–120 minutes.

What is ESyP?
ESyP (English Synergy Program) is a mentoring program designed to improve the English skills of international class freshmen (1st year). This program helps students to be better prepared to actively participate in learning activities and take part in various international programs. Conducted during the first and second semesters (1 academic year), ESyP classes are held twice a week with each session lasting 100–120 minutes.
The program offers 5 types of courses, including EPrT® Preparation Level 1-5, Academic Speaking., English Writing Series, TOEFL ITP® Preparation Level 1-2, as well as BIPA (Indonesian as a Foreign Language). These courses are designed to strengthen both academic and practical English skills while also providing opportunities for cross-cultural learning.

This is the initial placement test stage for the ESyP program. Students are required to take both tests, starting with the EPrT® followed by the ECCT®. The tests are conducted onsite at the Telkom University Language Center to assess students’ English proficiency level before joining the classes.
LaC will schedule your your placement test, so there is no registration process for ESyP Placement Test.

ESyP Placement Test
The ESyP Placement Test is the first step before joining the ESyP (English Synergy Program) classes. Students are required to take two placement tests: the EPrT® (English Proficiency Test) first, followed by the ECCT® (English Communicative Competence Test). Both tests are conducted onsite at the Telkom University Language Center. Each participant will have a different schedule, and you can check yours by clicking the Check Schedule button.

EPrT® (English Proficiency Test)
EPrT® or English Proficiency Test is designed to measure English language proficiency and is developed by Telkom University Language Center.
The proficiency which will be tested is as follows:

● Grammar Competence 40 questions
● Reading Competence 50 questions
Duration of EPrT® Test: ± 2 – 3 hours
EPrT® Certificate Validity Period: 2 years
Range of EPrT® Scores: 310 – 677
ECCT® (English Communicative Competence Test)
ECCT® or English Communicative Competence Test is designed to measure speaking ability in English.
The assessment components of ECCT® are as follows:
