The learning method emplyed in BIPA AKUBISA is "text-based learning". This focuses on understanding and producing text, both spoken and written, in various context. Learners are guided by friendly and resourceful teachers in and outside the classes, including online-guided learning.
Online Placement Test
Learners are classified into 7 levels. Each level reflect a learner's ability in Indonesian language, starting from level 1 as the lowest to level 7 as the highest level.

In addition to instructor's guidance, BIPA learners are accompanied by BIPA buddies, called BIPA Sahib. BIPA Sahib will give guidance in social life, including the daily expressions found in teenager's community..

Astri Hidawati

Astri Hidawati has been active as an instructor in the Language Center of Telkom University since 2010. In 2017, she was assigned to focus on teaching Indonesian language for foreigners (Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing) program, especially BIPA Darmasiswa. She has taken specialized programs in teaching techniques, technical guidance program, and BIPA seminars.
Pebby Ardin

Pebby Ardin is an English instructor in the Language Center of Telkom University. He has been teaching Indonesian language for foreigners (Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing) since 2016. Having taken trainings of teaching, technical guidance program, and joining BIPA simposiums, he was appointed 1 year later as the coordinator of BIPA Darmasiswa and is currently in charge of program designing.
Mailani Kamilah

Mailani Kamilah has been active as an instructor in the Language Center of Telkom University since 2019. In 2017 she was assigned to join BIPA teacher exchange program of FLTA. Besides teaching experience, she has taken specialized programs in teaching techniques, technical guidance program, and BIPA seminars.
